- All Solar Panel brands produce approximately the same (Amps Per Hour) in full sunlight. You need to be asking what Amps Per Hour it produces in full cloud or while driving away from the sun.
- Our Solar Panels deliver 50%+ of Total Power in cloud or while pointed away from the Sun while the competition is 10–20% only. Our Monocrystalline cells are a record 21% efficient
- Solar Controllers take the Solar Panel Voltage (17.6 Volts) and converts it to a lower more acceptable charge voltage delivering a higher Amp Per Hour rating.
- Utilize a solar panel having the lowest Annual Solar Cell Degradation rate. MD solar cells are rated at 0.32 +- 0.32%. (The higher the number to quicker the panel dies)

Notes About Charging
Solar Power, like an alternator, is not a battery charger! A battery charger is utilized when low batteries require charging.
Solar Power & alternators were created to replace the amperage being used by electric components or parasitic draws with voltage levels controlled by the solar controller & voltage regulator.
The battery should be at least 12.1 volts for solar charge to begin – battery voltage level is between approximately 12.6 volts (100% charged) to 12.1 volts (25% charged).
MD Solar Panels
MD Flex Solar Panels attach with 1” wide Double Sided Tape but, have options with fastener holes on the panel and controller. Sikaflex bond can also been utilized but it's difficult to remove.
MD Solar Components are suitable for 12 & 24 volt systems.

The IP code or Ingress Protection ratings are defined in international standard EN 60529 (British BS EN 60529:1992, European IEC 60529). They are used to define levels of sealing effectiveness of enclosures against intrusion from foreign matter (tools, dirt etc) and moisture.
First Digit: Solids (0-6)
The first digit indicates the level of protection that the enclosure provides against access to hazardous parts (e.g., electrical conductors, moving parts) and the ingress of solid foreign objects.
Second Digit: Liquids (0-8)
Protection of the equipment inside the enclosure against harmful ingress of water.

Immersion beyond 1m The equipment is suitable for continuous immersion in water under conditions which shall be specified by the manufacturer. Normally, this will mean that the equipment is hermetically sealed.
